Introducing Feature Reveals for Google Fi Wireless -- regular updates to solve common wireless problems. This Feature Reveal includes new ways Google Fi Wireless is using Google AI and other new technology to give you a more reliable connection and easy to use features.

A faster connection and crystal-clear calls, across your devices

With Google Fi, you always get top priority data speeds powered by America’s fastest 5G network, but sometimes it’s still difficult to get a strong cell signal in indoor venues — like if you’re trying to stream a video at the airport or read product reviews while shopping at a mall. 1 Google Fi Wireless tackles this for Pixel phones by using Wi-Fi Auto Connect+, which seamlessly puts you on premium Wi-Fi so your connection is twice as reliable as our cellular network alone in these crowded places. 2 Now, we’re expanding availability of this feature to millions of locations, including supported major airports like LAX, ORD and JFK, and participating shopping malls and stores. It works automatically and it’s available at no extra cost. Plus, we’re the only major carrier to automatically secure your online activity with an encrypted connection when you’re on premium Wi-Fi. You’ll know you’re connected via Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ when you see the W+ icon in your status bar.

Noises like wind, construction or traffic can derail a conversation. Most of your calls on Fi already benefit from call quality improvements, like HD calling. For other calls, including when you’re talking to someone on a landline or older device, your calls will now use AI-enhanced audio (available in the coming weeks). This feature uses Google AI to automatically filter out distracting background noise and clarify voices on both ends of the line for more natural-sounding conversations. It works automatically, and you can turn it off anytime.

Beyond your phone, you also get connectivity on select smartwatches, tablets and laptops at no extra cost with Google Fi Wireless — and in the coming weeks, we’ll update web calls and messages. With web calls and messages, you’re able to call, text and check voicemails from any computer or tablet’s web browser even when your phone isn’t near you, without complicated setup and at no extra cost. You’ll see a new interface with full RCS support for sharing hi-res photos and videos as well.

More instant in-app support

We've designed the Google Fi app to improve your experience. You can easily switch plans with a tap, and the app even automatically detects and fixes network issues. Now we’re expanding our instant in-app support with the power of Google AI to bring additional clarity to your monthly bill. Google Fi bills are designed to be simple and straightforward, but we know sometimes you still have questions. Now, you’ll get personalized AI-powered summaries that explain charges, any changes from the previous month and how recent plan adjustments will affect future costs — giving you instant answers without navigating a call center.

A smartphone screen shows the Google Fi app. The current bill is $60.81. Below this, an AI summary card explains that the bill went down by $16.81 because the user switched to the Unlimited Essentials plan and that future bills will be about $35+tax.

Limited-time promotions for new customers

To celebrate the new features, we’re offering a limited-time promotion for new Google Fi subscribers. You’ll get 50% off for 15 months when you bring a phone and join our Unlimited Essentials or Unlimited Standard Plan — visit the Google Fi website for all the details. 3
